LTJG Jeffery Alex James Johnson, Ph.D.

My entire adult life has been fashioned to impact communities through education,  leadership, and community development. Leadership development was an early recognized trait. During the year of 2000-2001 as a high school senior and honor student in Jacksonville, FL I was hired by Dr. Roy Mitchell to lead an after school academic achievement program. This opportunity afforded me the privilege of being the youngest employee for Duval County Public Schools. That same passion for learning and developed has morphed into a greater passion. As a lifelong learner I’ve earned a; B.A., M.Min., M.Th., Ph.D. from Warner University and St. Thomas Christian University respectively and I am currently enrolled in Anderson University D.Min program. I’ve had the privileged of serving as a public-school substitute teacher, 3rd & 4th grade educator, a charter school board chairman, administration team member for a faith based private school, Director of Partnerships for Warner University and an adjunct for Hillsborough Community College.

For the past 8 years I’ve led a regional Girls Summit event entitled, “You Deserve To Be Loved.” Each year thousands of middle and high school students along with their parents attend the summit. in 2020 for the first time the girls summit was recognize as a district-wide field trip in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. In recognition for my passion for youth success I was honored by Beyoncé’ as being a Global Ambassador for BeyGood Philanthropic organization. Professionally I am the Director of Strategic Initiatives for the CDC of Tampa. I lead an amazing partnership with 53 Bank to invest 20 million dollars in the East Tampa Community. I am a proud ordained cleric serving parishes in Hillsborough and Polk County. I am married to Teasia, and we have a beautiful blended family of three boys who are 14, 11, and 9. Each of them are honor scholars enrolled in Hillsborough County Public Schools.
